| Tourism is one of Jamaica’s premiere foreign exchange earners, with 3 million guests visiting the island annually. Recently, Jamaica has experienced an influx of resort development, with several new resorts offering nearly 3000 new rooms. Unfortunately, many resorts build and operate without concern for Jamaica’s fragile island environment or the wellbeing of local communities. Additionally, most resort development is concentrated in the main tourist areas of Montego Bay, Ocho Rios and Negril. As a result, there is an immediate need for tourism development in Jamaica’s rural sector and a growing market demand for a sustainable approach to resort development. | ![]() |

Through the development of luxury ecotourism and spa travel, Bamboo Eco Resort will serve as a vehicle to create a positive social and economic impact in rural Jamaica, where it is needed most. The entire development is being planned with careful consideration given to community impact and environmental preservation. The local community welcomes the development of Bamboo Eco Resort and appreciates our committment to sustainability. |
